Victim, or collaborator?
The place of Hungary in World War 2 is often overlooked, even among the vast catalogue of historical and artistic acknowledgements of this monumental era. Overlooked, and possibly misunderstood.

Allies of Nazi Germany are easily categorized as belligerents, worthy of the same censure and punishment. But these alliances didn't form in a vacuum of evil. Those who lived in the times didn't have the hindsight we now enjoy.
​
The stories of everyday Hungarians, trying to balance between national interest and morality in an impossible place, are compelling. This is just one of those stories.
